Module configuration parameters

  • Users domain : This field is optional, it enables your users to log in without having to add the domain name, provided that all of them are using the same domain name. For example if you users are in the form "username@escaux.com", you can put in the value "@escaux.com" and the users will be able to log in with "username".
  • FleetManager users domain name : Similar to Users domain but for Fleet Managers.
  • Global Parameter used for language : Escaux Connect uses only one setting for the language of the template running behind it and the UI of the End User itself, this setting is given by the profile parameter that stores the language. For example "UnifyLanguage".
  • Branding: Set to "default" to use the Escaux default branding. Set to "custom" to use a custom branding. See the Escaux Connect Administrator Guide to learn how to add a custom branding.
  • Show Admin Vars: Deprecated leave this option set to no.
  • Use user language instead of global parameter: Set to "yes" to use the user's language from the SMP user definition instead of the global parameter. If this value is set to "yes", the setting Global Parameter used for language will be ignored.
  • Enable chat: Set this option to yes to enable the chat feature.
  • Enable directory: Set this option to yes to enable the directory.
  • Enable calls: Set this option to yes to enable the softphone functionnalities of Escaux Connect.
  • Global Parameter used for buddy list: If the directory is enabled, this field must contain the name of the profile parameter that will contain the user's buddy list. Note that the parameter must be of the type "Buddy list".
  • Global Parameter used for distant server IP: In a UEP environment, this field must contain the name of the profile parameter that will contain the IP address on which the API calls (ie: status change, profile parameters, ...) should be forwarded. Note that the option Global Parameter used for distant server extension must also be set if this one is defined. Leave empty for normal (single PBX) mode.
  • Global Parameter used for distant server extension: In a UEP environment, this field must contain the name of the profile parameter that will contain the extension of the user on the remote PBX. Leave empty for normal (single PBX) mode.
  • Global Parameter used for SDX5: If you don't want to use the primary or secondary phone to set the SDX5 resource, you can provide the name of the profile parameter that will contain it. This profile parameter must be of the type "Device".
  • Enable SIP subscriptions: Set this option to yes to enable automatic refresh of the phones' presence and users' intentional statuses. Note that this will generate additional traffic from Escaux Connect when the directory or chat view is open. This traffic should be taken into account for the dimensioning. See the AdminGuide for details on how to setup the callflows needed for the intentional status.
  • Enable Call History: Set this option to yes to enable the call history view.
  • Enable CRM: Set this option to yes to show the contacts from the CRM. Note that the SOP API module must be configured with the option SOP IP addresses to point to your CRM.
  • Enable intentional status and profile parameters: Set this option to no if you don't want to expose the intentional status and profile parameter changes through Escaux Connect.
  • FleetManager help profiles: List the profiles name that should appear in the FleetManager help.
  • Global Parameter used for last missed call seen: If the call history is enabled, this field must contain the name of the profile parameter that will contain the user's last seen missed call. Note that the parameter must be of the type "String".

  • Cookie domain name: Override the domain name for which Escaux Connect will set the session cookie. If left empty it will default to the actual domain used to access Escaux Connect.
  • Feature Set: Choose a set of features to activate for this instance of Escaux Connect:
    • Softphone: The homepage is the dialer, the user only has access to a WebRTC softphone and the call history.
    • Standard: The homepage is the directory, the user has access to click-to-dial, call history, profile parameters, intentional status, presence, one-to-one chat, but no WebRTC softphone.
    • Advanced: Like the standard set, with beta features added: WebRTC softphone, multi-party chat, audio/video/screen sharing collaboration.
