Description

The probe reports the status of a redundant disk array (RAID).

This probe has no configurable parameters.

Performance graphs

This probe does not generate any performance graphs.

Alarms

This probe can report following alarm states:

  • WARNING: any of the following conditions:
    • at least one physical disk in the RAID is failing
    • the RAID contains no or only one physical hard drives in 'Online' status
    • no RAID controller is detected
  • UNKNOWN: the status of the RAID could not be verified.

Possible causes

  • physical defect of one of the disks.

Possible consequences

If one of the two disks of a RAID fails:
  • no more protection if the other disk fails.
  • possible degraded performance.

If both disks would fail:
  • the whole SOP will cease to work
  • loss of all data since last backup (today): voicemails, dynamic profile parameters, ...

Possible actions

  • replace the SOP
