Resource configuration parameters

This resource allows an administrator to configure a SNOM 870 IP Phone.

  • Line: A line corresponds to a specific SIP identity. This means that your SNOM870 IP phone can have several identities and each resource corresponds with a particular identity which is also called 'Line'. Select whether you wish to configure the resource on line 1 or line 2 of the SNOM870 phone. Please note that you have to configure the resource with the line 1 before you can create a new resource with the same mac address and line2.
  • SIP can reinvite: if this option is set to 'yes', you will instruct the media flow, i.e. the actual voice packets, to be send directly to the destination phone without transiting through the Escaux UCS server. Activating this option can be interesting in large deployments but can result in compatibility problems when establishing a voice communication between IP phones of a different brand. The default value is 'no'.
  • Auto-answer type: this option allows you to activate the auto-answer mode. You can define whether the calls should be sent either to the handset, headset or phone speaker. "Locked" means that the setting cannot be changed through the phone menu.
  • VLAN and DSCP configuration:
    • DSCP
      • ALERT! Please note that these settings are only applied to the phone if you have selected Line 1
      • Diffserv setting for Voice Media (RTP) : Diffserv classification for phone voice outbound IP traffic (see also ModuleDoc30)
      • Diffserv setting for Voice Signaling (SIP) : Diffserv classification for phone signaling (SIP, ...) outbound IP traffic (see also ModuleDoc30)
    • VLAN
      • ERROR! Important note : The following network parameters can break the connexion between the phone and the Escaux UCS. If incorrect values are indicated, a factory reset of the phone might be needed.
      • Voice VLAN id (1 -> 4094) : 802.1q voice VLAN id
      • Voice VLAN priority (0 -> 7) : 802.1p voice VLAN priority
  • Additional settings:
    • Display missed calls : Set to "no" to hide missed calls.
    • Call waiting : Set to "yes" to allow incoming calls when already in conversation.
    • Web access security : Leave blank to allow default configuration. Do not configure this in combination with net.Console.
    • Language : Choose the phone and web interface language.
    • Tone scheme : The type of ringtones that will be generated by the phone.
    • Phone display : This configured what will be displayed on screen when the phone is idle.
    • Function keys :
      • Key event : Set this to leave it at the factory default (only for pre-programmed function keys).
      • Speeddial : Fill in the extension as you would dial it on the phone.
      • BLF+Speeddial : Same as speeddial but only for internal extensions. The extension specified will be supervised. The led next to the button will light up when the extension is busy.
      • Action URL : When this value is selected, you can specify a url that the phone can request. See the application note below for more information.
    • RTP Port range : This configures the RTP port range the phone will use.
    • Time zone : Configures the timezone.
    • Return to idle even if offhook : When set to "yes" the phone will return to idle when the call has ended but the handset is not yet on the hook.
    • Dial tone during hold : When set to "yes" the phone will generate a dial tone when a call is placed on hold.
    • Expiry The proposed expiry time of the registration in minutes. Upon expiration of the registration, the phone will send a fresh re-registration request.
