Resource configuration parameters

In order to place calls on an Sangoma BRI interface, use the action Goto.INTERFACE in the routing table or use the CallInterface action in a call flow. This action takes as argument an outgoing interface.

  • Interface mapping:
    • Interfaces: Select the interface which needs to be map to this SIP peer
    • Restriction Group: Select the restriction group in which incoming calls are to be sent
  • Physical configuration:
    • Country: Select the country in order to adapt the card configuration to the local standards
    • Default PCM: Select the encoding to be used. This one must matches the encoding used on the BRI. ALAW is typically used in Europe wile ULAW is used in USA.
    • Clocking: Specify if the card must synchronize with the clocking information provided on the BRI or if the card must provide the clocking on the BRI. If you are connected to the PSTN the clocking must always be set to 'Terminal'.
    • Gain: Specify the gain to be applied on the signal received on the BRI. This is used if the audio seems too weak or too loud.
  • ISDN configuration:
    • Termination: The ISDN signalling is asymmetric. If your are connected to a PSTN network, 'Terminal' must be chosen. If you are connecting to an external PBX you might want to use 'Network'
    • Overlap Dialing Receive: In some country, the digits are received after the SETUP signaling message. In order to know the dialed number you then need to activate this feature. A call without DNIS will be sent to the extension 's'.
      • Minimum Number Of Digits: This parameter indicates the expected minimum number of digits to receive if Overlap Digits Reception ENABLED. If set to 0, this parameter is ignored.
      • Maximum Number Of Digits: This parameter indicates the maximum number of digits to receive if Overlap Digits Reception ENABLED. If set to 0, this parameter is ignored.
      • End Collection Digits: This parameter indicates a sequence of digits indicating the end of the Overlap Digits collection if Overlap Digits Reception ENABLED. It must be a regular expression. If blank this parameter is ignored. For example: ^([0-9]+)?[\#\*]$|^(0[1-9])$|^(00[1-9])$ will consider the dialed number as complete if the number finishes with '#' or '*' or if the number is a two digit long number starting with '0' or if it is a three digits number starting with '00'
      • Interdigit timeout: Maximum number of milliseconds to wait between two digits. The minimum is 3000 ms and the maximum is 75000 ms
    • Connection Type: A BRI access to a PBX normally use a point-to-point configuration but some operator might have provided a point-to-multipoint configuration
  • Call Properties:
    • Caller Party Number:
      • Type of number: Select the type of number to be set in the caller party number. This is usually set to 'Unknow'.
      • Numbering Plan: Select the numbering plan to be set in the caller party number. This is usually set to 'ISDN/telephony numbering plan (Recommendation E.164 [19])'.
    • Called Party Number:
      • Type of number: Select the type of number to be set in the called party number. This is usually set to 'Unknow'.
      • Numbering Plan: Select the numbering plan to be set in the called party number. This is usually set to 'ISDN/telephony numbering plan (Recommendation E.164 [19])'.
  • Extra features:
  • Caller ID:
    • Validating Regex: Regex used to validate the Caller ID used on the trunk.
    • Default callerid: If the regex is not matched, replace the current Caller ID by this value.
  • DTMF Configuration:
    • DTMF Mode: Select how the resource handles DTMF signaling: inband (default) or rfc2833.
