Subnetwork (NETA)

This resource represents a subnetwork, or subnet: a logical subdivision of an IP network.

A site groups one or more subnetworks which normally share a same physical location.

Resource configuration parameters

  • Site: name the site which the subnet belongs to.
  • Address: network address of the subnet.
  • Mask: network mask of the subnet (dot-decimal notation).
  • Generate DHCP config: Do you want to generate the DHCP configuration for this subnet ?
    • Yes: generate the entire configuration
    • No: generate only the definition of the subnet.
    • None: generates nothing for the subnet.
  • Range first IP: First IP address of the range (pool) of IPs that we want to assign to DHCP clients.
  • Range last IP: Last IP address of the range (pool) of IPs that we want to assign to DHCP clients.
  • TFTP server: Leave this field empty to use the SOP's TFTP server.
  • Default lease time (seconds): Leave this field empty to keep the standard 6 hour default lease time.
  • Maximum lease time (seconds): Leave this field empty to keep the standard 12 hour maximum lease time.
  • Netmask to offer: The netmask to be offered to the DHCP client
  • Default gateway to offer: The default gateway to be offered to the DHCP client.
  • Domain name: The domain name to be offered to the DHCP client.
  • MAC address: You can assign a specific IP address (must be out of the range of IPs distributed by the DHCP) to a specific MAC address. Enter here a comma separated list of 'MAC:IP' couples (with no quotes). For example A1A1A1A1A1A1:8.8.8.8,B2B2B2B2B2B2:4.4.4.4
  • Router:
    • Name: The name of the router used for the WAN access
    • ip1: The first IP address of the router used for the WAN access
    • ip2: The second IP address of the router used for the WAN access
  • Modem: The name of the modem used for the WAN access
