Resource configuration parameters

This resource is used to connect a Dialogic Gateway to an Escaux SOP.

SIP interface parameters:

  • Gateway: Enter the IP adress of the Dialogic Gateway if it does not register. Otherwise set it to "dynamic".
  • Password: Enter here the password that the Dialogic Gateway will need to register and authenticate with the SOP.
  • dtmf mode: The dtmf mode supported by the peer on the SOP.
  • First codec to use: The first codec supported on the trunk.
  • Second codec to use: The second codec supported on the trunk.
  • Third codec to use: The third codec supported on the trunk.
  • Port: The port used for SIP signaling on the Dialogic Gateway. Leave blank for the default 5060.
  • Restriction Group: The restriction group in which the calls coming from the Dialogic Gateway will lend in.
  • Security:
    • Very insecure: No authentication will be required, Password field will be ignored. SIP trunk selection (2) ignores Port field.
    • Insecure: Authentication required only if Password field is not empty. SIP trunk selection (2) ignores Port field.
    • Authenticate All Connections: Authentication always required and will always fail if Password field is empty.
  • Allow T.38: Allow the Dialogic Gateway to send T.38 traffic to the Escaux SOP.
  • Dialogic Gateway configuration backup: Paste here the exported ini file of the Dialogic Gateway's configuration.

Dialogic Gateway configuration backup

To backup the Dialogic Gateway and save its configuration on the SMP, follow the following steps:
  1. Go to the web interface of the Dialogic Gateway and login as administrator
  2. On the left menu, click on "import/export"
  3. Click on the button "Export All Settings (config.ini)" and save the file to your computer
  4. Open the file saved with a text editor and copy all of its the content
  5. Open the corresponding Dialogic Gateway resource on the SMP and paste the content of the ini file in the field "Dialogic Gateway configuration backup"
  6. Click on save

Dialogic Gateway configuration restore

To restore the configuration of the Dialogic Gateway please follow the following steps:
  1. Open the corresponding Dialogic Gateway resource on the SMP and copy the content of the field "Dialogic Gateway configuration backup"
  2. On your computer, create a new text file called configuration.ini and paste the content of the configuration backup in it.
  3. Go to the web interface of the Dialogic Gateway and login as administrator
  4. On the left menu, click on "import/export"
  5. Click on the "Browse" button to select the file on your computer and click on "import file".
