Compatibility

This resource has been validated the following hardware:
  • HP DL120 G6
  • HP DL120 G7
  • HP DL320 G8
  • HP DL360 G7
  • HP DL360 G8

Other HP hardware may be compatible but cannot be guaranteed.

Resource parameters

  • None

Performance graphs

This probe generates graphs with the following metrics if the sensors are available on the hardware:

  • Fan speed
  • Ambient temperature
  • CPU temperature
  • Memory temperature
  • Powersupply temperature
  • System temperature
  • Storage temperature
  • Other temperatures: any sensors that don't belong in the categories above.

Alarms

This probe can report following alarm states:

  • CRITICAL:
    • One of the redundant power supplies (if available) has failed.
    • Temperature threshold of a sensor set by the manufacturer is exceeded
    • One of the fans has failed
  • UNKNOWN: the test could not be performed.

Possible causes

An exceeded temperature threshold may be caused by:
  • a broken fan
  • obstructed air outlet
  • air conditioning failure in the datacenter

A power supply alert may be caused by:
  • a faulty powersupply
  • a poorly connected or disconnected power cable
  • power failure in one of the power circuits
