mISDN Trunk (MOA1)
Description
This type of interface allows the system to send and receive calls over the public ISDN network using standard BRA (Basic Rate Access) lines. This resource supports BRI mISDN interface cards
Release notes
Version 1.0 - Deprecated
- Feature: Support Single BRI HFC chipset based PCI cards.
- Deprecated: Interface cards using MISDN are no longer supported
Version 0.0 - Deprecated
- Improvement: Dial by port and not by group in order to force (re-)activation of layer 2
- Deprecated: Interface cards using MISDN are no longer supported
Resource configuration interface
Dependencies
- Asterisk module 2.9 or higher (with mISDN option activated)
- mISDN module 1.0 or higher
Resource Configuration Parameters
The configuration requires the following fields to be filled out:
- Description: Description of the interface usage.
- Port: List of BRI/PRI ports which shares the resources configuration. For example, for a single BRI, just select '1'.
- Signaling: Choose 'CPE' in order to connect an ISDN line, or 'NET' in order to connect a terminal equipement to the card.
- RxGain: 'Receive' Gain.
- TxGain: 'Transmit' Gain.
- Rem: Set the Tx and Rx gain to a lower value in case you notice an echo.
- Context: optional context for incoming calls.
- Leave blank (default context: incoming) in order to call only numbers indicated in 'External Number Mapping'.
- Indicate another Restriction Group in order to let the call trigger other internal extensions.
- Outgoing Number Type Of Number (TON): set ISDN type of number for outgoing calls.
- Caller ID Number Type Of Number (TON): set ISDN type of number for caller ids.
- Subscriber Number Type Of Number (TON): set ISDN type of number for subscriber number.
- Echo Canceller: set to 'yes' to perform a 128 ms tail echo cancellation on the line. The echo canceller tail is the amount of incoming signal time which is recorded in order to compare the incoming signal and the outgoing signal. Bad quality analog telephone network needs longer tail. The side effect of a longer tail is that the echo-canceller needs more time to converge and cancel the echo.
- Use Echo Canceller for mISDN bridged calls: Data calls does not support Echo Cancellation. Set this parameter to 'no' in case a non voice signal (for example a modem or a fax) can be transported between mISDN interfaces.
- Train Echo: Set to yes to optimize the echo canceller convergence time.
