Introduction

In order to enable the auto-provisioning feature of the Polycom IP4000 device, you will have to manually set either the "Server Type" or the "Boot Server Option" on the phone itself.

Both those settings can be accessed via the same "Network Configuration" submenu:

Navigate to: Main Screen > Main Menu > Settings > Advanced > Admin Settings > Network Configuration

Push the "Menu" physical button:

Choose "Settings...":

Choose "Advanced...":

Type in the default password (456):

Choose "Admin Settings...":

Choose "Network Configuration...":

Setting up "Server Type"

Navigate to: Network Configuration > Server Menu

Choose "Server Menu...":

Set the "Server Type" to "TrivialFTP" (FTP by default):

Setting up "Boot Server Option"

Navigate to: Network Configuration > DHCP Menu

Choose "DHCP Menu...":

Set the "BootSrv Opt" to 160:
