Improve net.Desktop phone status and phone registration information

Application goals.

• The goal is to provide a more reliable phone state and phone registration information to the net.Desktop.

Application implementation

• In the previous implementation, proxy.pl installed by the API module provided information to the database. Unfortunately this process is not reliable.
• In the new implementation, we reuse the more reliable data from Call Management to populate the database. Please look at the next section for the installation procedure of this new mechanism.

Detailed Application Example

On every SOP of your cluster where phone registration and phone status you should install the following modules.

• SOP API Module 2.33.0
• Application Management Server 3.3.0
• Call Management 1.5.5
• Unified Communication Model 1.9.1
• net.Desktop 2.24.3

To install a module please refer to the SMP administration guide.

The Application Management Server should be restarted. You can use the SOP shell to perform this operation.

An old net.Desktop client is still compatible with the new implementation, although we cannot guarantee, that the phone status and phone registration information will be correct. We recommend updating to at least version 2.24.3 of net.Desktop client.
