IP/analog convertor - Cisco SPA8000

1. Introduction

The Cisco SPA8000 IP/analog convertor is a device that is used to connect analog telephones to your LAN network. Thanks to this conversion device, your analog devices behave like an IP Phone.

You can also connect fax machines. There is T.38 support for 1 device on each port pairs.

2. Reset to factory defaults

Connect an analog phone to one of the ATA ports. Pick up the phone that you just connected to the ATA and press the * key 4 times. You should hear a voice say "Entering Linksys Configuration Menu". Next, press 73738# and you will hear a voice ask you to press 1 to confirm. Press 1 when prompted. This sets the device to factory defaults and reboots it.

This is needed in order to upgrade to firmware 6.1.12 (Cisco ATA Support 1.5.3).
