Admin password

A Polycom VVX phone will show an exclamation mark on the display if the Admin password has not been set, causing the phone to use a default password. For security reasons, we recommend setting a custom Admin password.

Personal User Mobility

Personal User Mobility operations, such as a log-off or log-on trigger the phone to fetch its new configuration. Depending on the differences between the old config and the new, the phone will either just updated its configuration (~3 seconds) or do a restart (~20-25 seconds). This behavior can not be changed: it is dependent on the firmware of the phone combined with the use of certain functionality such as BLF.
