Target audience

The application integration training for the Escaux Unified Communication Solution (UCS) is targeted at the administrators of the end solution who have already followed the administrator training. They will continue studying the solution's application programmers' interface (API) and other aspects of the solution that are oriented towards the integration of the solution in an ICT environment.

Goal of the training

This training gives an overview of all aspects of integrating the Escaux UCS solution into an existing ICT ecosphere. This includes the usage of existing databases, desktop integration for end users as well as integrating UCS based telephony and unified communications into other applications. After the training, the participant is able to independently program both his Escaux UCS solution as well as his existing ICT applications to interface with each other.

Contents of the training

In an interactive session, several topics will be handled both in theory as well as with sufficient examples to demonstrate all aspects of the subjects covered. The training starts with a continuation architectural aspects of the solution that are required for application integration.

Application integration features

The Escaux UCS solution has a number of predefined integration capabilities that can interface with several industry standard integration mechanisms. These features make integration with a large variety of solutions possible without any programming. For example, integration with your company's directory is made easy through the integration with LDAP databases and Microsoft Active Directory. This greatly simplifies your user management, as you can continue using the directory your company is already using and import it as your Escaux UCS user directory. This section covers the existing integration mechanisms and how you can use them to integrate with existing ICT solutions.

Application integration & solution API

To fully integrate the Escaux UCS solution into your ICT applications, Escaux offers a full API that allows any application to access any feature of the UCS solution.
